The company combines an innovative product directory platform with product marketing showcases, on-line display advertising, opt-in lead generation, social networking and comprehensive search engine optimization into innovative Software as a Service (SaaS) product marketing directory platform for publishers. JAZD currently operates 9 B2B directory platforms with over 50,000 companies listed and more than 1 Million products and over 1,000 current clients in annual renewable client relationships.

Roles And Responsibilities:

JAZD Markets is seeking a Principal or Lead Java Engineer who has developed highly scalable and high traffic web applications that can interact with business and technology teams to understand requirements, and design and implement architectural solutions to meet the business needs. Core responsibility is for the design and development of architectural and application modules for the JAZD multi-tenancy, SaaS-based Directory platform. As appropriate work with and manage onsite and offshore development teams.

Required Skills and Experience:

5+ years of Object-Oriented programming, strong JAVA and Web application development experience. Experience in SOLR, Tomcat, Spring, Hibernate, Server-side development, and Database systems with strong knowledge of object-oriented programming design patterns and methodologies.

Great search and index experience including any of these frameworks: Solr/Lucene, Recommind, Endeca, Attivio, or similar technologies strongly desired. Solid understanding of SQL skills – preferably with MySQL database, along with XML, HTTP, SOAP, REST, and Web Services experience required. Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, teaming environment and meet tight deadlines. Strong architectural, design, and development skills with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.

Requires BSCS; Master’s degree preferred.
