Marketing Manager - Marketplace Success

THE POSITION:
The Marketplace Marketing Manager is a key member of the JAZD Marketing Team and will drive audience and vendor engagement, retention and repeat usage of the JAZD Marketplaces including HealthTech, PharmaTech, Chemical Yellow Pages, CommTech, HotelWorld Network Marketplace, SupplyTech, ProcessFlowDirect, and TechDirect.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will create, implement, analyze and optimize online marketing programs to achieve marketplace growth goals.
The Marketing Manager will create and deploy highly effective online marketing programs to drive marketplace traffic including email campaigns, opt-in newsletters, blogs, social media, SEM, Brainsharks and collateral. Playing a key role in identifying, developing and implementing awareness and acquisition strategies you will directly impact the critical business metrics.
This position will also drive and develop material for vendor growth including press releases, customer presentations, webinars, Brainsharks, blogging, email and sales training materials to ensure JAZD Markets share of mind and wallet in the marketing budget. Working cross-functionally on competitive sales offers, promotions, market development and client solutions you will drive lead development and pipeline results.
To be successful, you will have internet savvy writing skills; solid HTML and email experience; strong communication and presentation skills; and an entrepreneurial passion to manage your own B2B online marketplace.
POSITON DETAILS:
- Manage one to two JAZD Marketplaces
- Grow marketplace traffic, audience and retention
- Design, build and implement HTML email and newsletter campaigns focused on driving marketplace results
- Segment, create and implement audience acquisition tactics
- Manage retention campaigns driving repeat visitors
- Drive vendor adoption and sales enablement through email, blogging, newsletters and promotions
- Create marketing programs to significantly increase sales lead flow and pipeline generation
- Manage health and wellness reporting of marketplace against business goals including traffic, visitor engagement, vendor adoption and sales
- Analyze and report program performance; provide results and implement improved programs based on learnings
- Develop ad copy, landing pages, banner creatives and other marketing collateral
THE CANDIDATE:
The selected individual will have a proven track record of innovative online marketing services and advertising success with specific experience in B2B vertical markets within a start-up environment. This results driven marketer must have a deep understanding of the requirements for marketing to online B2B communities with exceptional copywriting and email skills. This person must have high enthusiasm, strong communications skills, creativity and interest in building a world-class business within a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment and extreme commitment to accountability for tangible results.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- BA/BS Degree Required
- Understanding and 2 plus years of experience creating product messaging and online marketing campaigns
- Start-up or SMB experience
- Internet-junkie; direct experience in HTML, Dreamweaver, SilverPop or email software, website content management software, Google Analytics, Adobe, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proven examples of creation and delivery of online marketing communication programs including eNewsletters, press releases, email campaigns and online marketing programs
- Ability to perform ROI analysis and identify tactics for constant improvement
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple-tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and a sense of urgency

COMPENSATION:
A competitive compensation package will consist of an aggressive base salary, annual bonus, 401K and complete benefits including flex spending accounts and free parking.
