Data Operations Manager

THE POSITION:

The Data Operations Manager is a key member of the JAZD Team.  The Data Operations Manager ensures that that all directory data is current and reported on timely to fully support the JAZD Business Model for end-users, clients, and the day-to-day requirements of JAZD internally. The Data Operations Manager must have a love of online marketing analytics and reporting and the skills to dig in and get the real insights for the company.

The Data Operations Manager reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Day to Day directory data operations management including client reporting, lead delivery, sales territory management, SEO category management, traffic management and directory reporting.
  • Deliver day to day directory and sales operational reports with analytics about trending and actions to be considered
  • Work with the Engineering Team to configure the platform parameters, database setup and marketing artifacts needed to launch each new directory.
  • Coordinate and manage the process of populating each new directory with categories, companies, products and content.
  • Ensure every directory is optimized for search-engine indexing, monitoring index activity and resulting SERP positioning for opportunities to improve.
  • Continually improve the taxonomy, product and company coverage in all directories.
  • Expand and manage inbound data sources for prospect leads, and integrate those lists into JAZD marketing and sales processes.
  • Assure that all client contracts are met or exceeded for delivered results by tracking every client’s progress and engagement throughout their term.
  • Oversee the process to load, scrub and approve the leads that flow through the JAZD system and assure that they are always delivered to clients in a timely fashion.
  • Interact directly with clients to assist them in loading their product data into the directories.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

The selected individual will have a strong combination of business, analytical and technical skills. This includes significant hands on experience with direct client interaction, data reporting/migration, and extreme comfort configuring and using technical tools and applications.  This technically-minded business leader must also understand B2B marketing, search marketing and web technology.

Specific required experience:

  • 3-7 years of professional experience working with relational data for reporting or ETL, preferably within a lead generation, marketing services, and advertising services organization
  • Direct experience with Google Analytics and other search/traffic related reporting tools
  • Direct experience with sales territory management requirements
  • Direct experience with lead generation, paid placement, search marketing and brand advertising marketing programs
  • Direct experience supporting sales and marketing operations
  • Strong affinity for listening and understanding business requirements and needs

Professional level expertise in SQL is required. A degree with a concentration in Business Management, Marketing or Sales Management from a leading school is strongly suggested.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

Annual compensation package will consist of a competitive base salary, annual bonus program, 401K and complete benefits including flex spending accounts, 3 weeks paid vacation and free parking.
